MILWAUKEE – The law firm of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. (WHD) is pleased to announce that attorney Gina Carter has been elected to the Board of Directors of Santa Rosa, Calif.-based RCU Services Group (RCUSG). RCUSG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Redwood Credit Union (RCU), one of the largest credit unions in Northern California. The RCUSG Board sets strategy and policies for RCU Services Group, a credit union service organization which offers consumer and business insurance through RCU Insurance Services, and auto brokering and sales through RCU Auto Services.

Carter is a shareholder at WHD where she leads the Credit Union Law Team. She has 25 years of experience in counseling and advising individual, state and federal credit unions, credit union trade associations and credit union service organizations (CUSOS). Carter has lectured and published extensively on credit union issues, including bank secrecy, IT contracting, CUSO formation and operations, and credit union governance legal issues. She also advises a wide array of clients, including credit unions, high technology manufacturers, computer software manufacturers, media companies and trade associations, on all aspects of intellectual property law protection and rights enforcement.
Carter has been selected by Chambers USA as an outstanding IP litigator every year since 2005, selected as one of the top 250 Women in Litigation by Benchmark Litigation since 2012, and selected as one of the Best Lawyers in America in Intellectual Property Law and Litigation since 2011. She earned her B.S., cum laude, from Georgetown University, and her J.D., with honors, from Georgetown University Law Center.
