Finding information on water conservation, water bill payment options, the application for Great Lakes water, and other topics will be easier on the Waukesha Water Utility’s new web site. The new site was launched today.

“The Water Utility Commission had a goal of making our web site more user-friendly,” said Commission President Joe Piatt. “Customers and others will now find information organized in an easy-to-use and attractive format.”

Utility General Manager Dan Duchniak said, “The new design makes it easier for staff to add up-to-date information to keep people informed about a variety of topics,” he said. “We will add updates about what is going on at the utility, whether it is annual daytime sprinkling bans taking effect, water main flushing schedules, or upcoming meetings.”

The web site includes customer alerts; water conservations tips and rebates; water commission members and meetings; press releases; and customer information on water rates, bill payments and new hookups. Extensive documents on the utility’s application for Great Lakes water are also included, along with answers to frequently asked questions.

The new site can be found at www.waukesha-water.com or through the city web site at www.ci.waukesha.wi.us and going to the water utility department page.

The water utility also has a Facebook page and Twitter account. “We want to help keep people informed using whatever tools we can,” Duchniak said.
