The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Business Success Center’s aviation program, AeroInnovate, which connects startup companies with potential investors, has once again been recognized for excellence.
AeroInnovate received the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce’s 2015 Company Innovation Award in the Small Employer Category. The award was created as a means of recognizing businesses that drive innovation through creative thinking and problem solving, as well as take risks to propel economic development through their innovation. The award will be accepted during the Fox Cities Chamber Business Awards luncheon on Wednesday, June 10 at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton.
AeroInnovate’s latest innovation, the accelerator program launches on Monday, June 1. The accelerator program provides funding, expertise, networking and mentoring to selected aviation and aerospace startup companies with innovative business models.
Jarmusz-Doug: “This recognition provides the boost the program needed to hit the ground running to further its development and make a significant impact in upcoming years,” Doug Jarmusz, director of the Business Success Center, said.”We are truly proud to accept this award, as it demonstrates that we are on the right track with our efforts and affirms that we are one step closer to making the impact that we hope to make within the aviation industry,” Jarmusz said.
The companies participating in the accelerator program will be featured during EAA AirVenture July 20–26 within the innovation hanger. Accelerator program participants will pitch their ideas to investors and gain awareness and industry presence during AeroInnovate’s Pitch and Mingle during EAA AirVenture Fly-in on July 21 at 6 p.m.
