Tempo Milwaukee: Hosts 10th annual leadership event

MILWAUKEE—(October 13, 2015)—TEMPO Milwaukee, a professional women’s membership organization, will host its
10th annual leadership event on Thursday, October 22 at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee. Shaifali Puri, the
Former Executive Director of Global Innovation at NIKE Foundation, will headline the event.

“Through forums such as the Leadership Event, TEMPO Milwaukee members and the community are given access to
knowledge and experiences that benefit their organizations, industries, communities and themselves,” said Jennifer
Dirks, President & CEO of TEMPO Milwaukee. “We are thrilled to unite the community around TEMPO Milwaukee’s
mission to further the impact of women leaders locally and globally.”

In 1995, TEMPO Milwaukee established the annual Leadership Event to celebrate and nurture the impact of women in
leadership roles. In this tenth year of the event, TEMPO Milwaukee welcomes Shaifali Puri as keynote speaker. Puri is
currently a Visiting Scholar at the Arthur Carter Institute at New York University, previously served as the Executive
Director of Scientists Without Borders, and most recently as the Executive Director of Global Innovation at NIKE
Foundation.

“It’s an important year for TEMPO Milwaukee – not only because it marks one decade of this event, but because it also
coincides with the organization’s 40th anniversary,” said Dirks. “I look forward to celebrating these milestones next week
in the company of our membership and colleagues.”
