ROUGH Sportswear: Contributes $2,000 to Porchlight

MADISON, Wis. — Madison-based ROUGH Sportswear company contributed $2,000 to Porchlight, Madison’s Homeless Solution; the proceeds from its first 5K run and walk held on UW-Madison’s campus on Sunday, March 22. As part of the Porchlight fundraising efforts, ROUGH Sportswear also contributed $1 for every new “Like” it received on the company’s Facebook page.

ROUGH’s CEO Trent Jackson shared, “ROUGH Sportswear is thrilled to provide this modest unrestricted donation to Porchlight to assist with their mission of helping those that need assistance in our community.” Porchlight’s Executive Director Steven added, “We are very thankful to Trent and ROUGH for this generous contribution and we look forward to putting this gift to work immediately.”

The ROUGH 5K Run for Spring Break was just one part of ROUGH’s fundraising event organized by Bucky PR, a student-run public relations firm on UW campus. The week-long event included two days of motivating others to Get Fit and Get Healthy. On March 15, UW-Madison students were encouraged to get fit by attending classes at CYC Fitness and Inner Fire Yoga and on March 16, to get healthy by shopping at Fresh Madison Market.
