MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that the Wisconsin Law Journal has named Patrick J. Murphy of the Milwaukee office to its list of Up and Coming Lawyers.
The Up and Coming designation is in its seventh year, and recognizes attorneys with eight years or less of experience who have shown themselves to be rising stars. Honorees are chosen for their initiative in the practice of law, as well as their commitment to community and the positive effect they have on those around them. Patrick Murphy is a newly named partner—effective Oct. 1—in the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group, where his practice focuses on insurance coverage and intellectual property litigation. He has represented policyholders in several industries in connection with various types of claims, including third-party environmental, asbestos, and “personal and advertising injury” claims under commercial general liability policies. In addition, he has represented intellectual property owners in enforcing—as well as those accused of infringing— patent, trademark, and trade secret rights.
The firm has had one or more attorneys honored as Up and Coming Lawyers since the award’s inception in 2009.
