Prairie Financial Group® Promotes Schultz to President & Chief Fiduciary Officer

WAUKESHA, Wis. (December 15, 2015) — Prairie Financial Group®, a division of Waukesha State Bank, is pleased to announce the promotion of Victor Schultz to president & chief fiduciary officer. In his new role, Schultz will oversee all day-to-day management of the division, including personal trust services, retirement plan services, investment management and operations.

Schultz joined Prairie Financial Group in November of 2013 as senior vice president and head of personal trust, coming from BMO Private Bank where he was vice president and U.S. estate planning specialist. Prior to BMO’s acquisition of Marshall & Ilsley Bank, Schultz managed the personal trust and not-for-profit services legal department and estate settlement services group at Marshall & Ilsley Trust Company.

Schultz has been one of the leaders in modernizing and rewriting Wisconsin’s laws on trust, including the Wisconsin Trust Code, Wisconsin Principal and Income Act and the Wisconsin Prudent Investor Act. He served as co-chair of the study group that drafted and enacted the Wisconsin Trust Code in December of 2013. He is a leading advocate for corporate trustee business in Wisconsin and serves as a director of the Wisconsin Bankers Association Trust Banking Section and WBA Government Relations Committee. He also serves on the boards of the Ellinger Foundation, the Children’s Hospital Planned Giving Council and the Life Navigators Trust Committee.

Schultz earned his juris doctorate from Marquette University Law School and a bachelor of business administration in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He and his family currently reside in Brookfield.
