OSHKOSH CORPORATION WINS 2015 WORKPLACE EXCELLENCE AWARD FROM NEW NORTH AND RIGHT MANAGEMENT
OSHKOSH, Wis. (December 3, 2015) – Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK), a leading manufacturer of specialty vehicles and vehicle bodies, is the 2015 winner of the prestigious New North Workplace Excellence Award. Oshkosh was selected from among all companies based in the Fox Valley region and the 18 surrounding counties in Wisconsin. This award recognizes companies which establish people practices that lead to improved competitive advantage and achievement of successful business outcomes.
Oshkosh Corporation President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Wilson Jones accepted the award on behalf of all Oshkosh employees from Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, New North Board members and the head of the judging panel. Oshkosh won based on the success of its cultural transformation, continuous improvement initiatives and employee engagement generated through the Oshkosh Operating System and the Oshkosh Excellence Awards (OEA) competition. The OEA competition recognizes employees for their contributions and to share best continuous improvement practices across the corporation. Employees can submit their projects for judging in four different categories, and have a chance to win Oshkosh donations to charities of their choice.
