Monona, WI – The Monona East Side Business Alliance is excited to announce their second annual Craft Beer, Cheese & Chocolate Pairing event on Thursday, October 8 at The East Side Club located at 3735 Monona Drive in Monona from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event connects business people through a celebration of Wisconsin’s finest products—craft beer, artisan cheeses, and handcrafted chocolates. Attendees will graze their way around 12 pairing stations. Numerous cheesemakers, brewers, and chocolatiers will be present to talk with attendees. This event is presented by WPS Health Solutions.

Attendees will receive a souvenir tasting glass sponsored by Murphy Desmond S.C., in addition to an evening of beer, cheese, and chocolate samples. Featured breweries include House of Brews, Next Door Brewing Company, MobCraft Beer, Viking Brewpub, Vintage Brewing Company, The Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company, Ale Asylum, Karben4, Lakefront Brewery, and Potosi Brewing Company. Handcrafted chocolates are being provided by Gail Ambrosius Chocolatier, The Chocolate Caper, and Chocolaterian. Featured Wisconsin artisan cheeses are provided by Sartori, Hook’s Cheese Company, Carr Valley Cheese Company, Uplands Cheese, Bleu Mont Dairy, Cedar Grove Cheese, Crème de la Coulee, and Roelli Cheese Haus.

This event is unique because the Monona East Side Business Alliance is presenting 12 pairing stations—where an Alliance member sponsors a station and their representatives serve and educate attendees on the products at their pairing station. Executive Director, Kristie Schilling stated, “Last year’s event was a sell out and this year we’re offering two additional pairing stations. We strive to provide outstanding samples that our attendees may not have tried before with some featured cheeses being priced at $40 per pound or more.”

Page Buchanan, owner of House of Brews stated, “We’re excited to participate because it’s a really unique pairing event. We’re an east side business so this is a natural fit for us. Plus, we enjoy talking with the other brewers in attendance, interacting directly with customers who enjoy our beer, and introducing ourselves to people who haven’t yet sampled our beer.”

Tickets for the event can be purchased online at the Monona East Side Business Alliance’s website, http://mononaeastside.com/. Tickets can also be purchased at the door on October 8 if the event is not sold out in advance. The cost to attend the event is $35 for Alliance members and $50 for non-members.
