BRANDON HEATH AND NICHOLE NORDEMAN TO HEADLINE BUCKS FAITH & FAMILY NIGHT ON FRIDAY, FEB. 20

Award-winning Christian artists will perform free postgame concert

The Milwaukee Bucks will host Faith & Family Night on Friday, Feb. 20, when the Denver Nuggets visit the BMO Harris Bradley Center (7:30 p.m. tip). Highlighting the night will be a special postgame concert from Brandon Heath and Nichole Nordeman, a pair of Dove Award-winning Christian recording artists. Heath is also slated to perform the national anthem prior to tipoff.

A native of Nashville, Tenn., Heath is an established storyteller with a lengthy list of achievements. He earned the Gospel Music Association’s Dove Award in 2008 for Best New Artist and fulfilled that early promise by garnering numerous other accolades including two consecutive Doves for Male Vocalist (2009 and 2010), Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year for “Give Me Your Eyes” (2009). Heath has received five Grammy nominations, won an Emmy Award, and most recently won BMI’s songwriter of the year for 2014. Three previous albums have landed in the top-10, and he’s scored four No. 1 hit singles: “Give Me Your Eyes,” “Wait and See,” “I’m Not Who I Was,” and “Your Love.” In 2013, he released “Christmas is Here,” which became an instant holiday classic that went on to win a Dove Award for Christmas album of the year.

Nordeman is a recording artist and songwriter for Sparrow Records/EMI Christian Music Group, with numerous No. 1 and top-10 singles to her credit and cumulative CD sales of over 1 million. A two-time Gospel Music Association winner for Female Vocalist of the Year, she has won a total of nine Dove Awards, including one recently as the lyricist on the best-selling album “Music Inspired by The Story.” She lives with her family in Tulsa, Okla.
