La Crosse (February 10, 2015) – Metre, a rapidly growing La Crosse-based advertising agency, last week opened its new office in the North Loop Warehouse District in the Itasca Building, 708 First Street North, Minneapolis.

“Expanding our reach to other locations, particularly the Twin Cities area, has been part of our plan from day one,” notes Metre co-owner Kerstin Boudreau. “Our current clients are active in the Minneapolis area, and we work with a lot of the media outlets there. This allows us to get to know the media and vendors, which translates into better opportunities for our clients.”

The 15-employee agency plans to hire additional staff for the Minneapolis office, with some staff, including Boudreau and co-owner Justin Garvey, sharing time between offices.

“We are excited about the opportunities this opens to both our clients and our team,” notes Garvey. “The talent of our team here in La Crosse and the ability to tap into the talent pool in Minneapolis enables us to take advantage of emerging trends in digital, web technology, and app development to serve clients in both locations.”

Boudreau adds, “We are still a La Crosse company. It’s a way of mitigating the brain drain by giving our interns and team opportunities to also work in a larger metro area.”

The new office is in the Warehouse District, recognized as the city’s tech corridor. “It’s a good fit for us, since businesses know they can find solid tech-based resources there,” notes Boudreau. “We also anticipate opportunities to partner with firms in the district.”
