MADISON, Wis. (Dec. 14, 2015) —Meriter-UnityPoint Health and UnitedHealthcare have established a new relationship, giving people enrolled in all UnitedHealthcare employer-sponsored, Medicaid and Medicare Advantage plans access to all Meriter-UnityPoint Health facilities and physicians, effective Jan. 1, 2016.

Meriter-UnityPoint Health offers care to residents in Madison and Southcentral Wisconsin through its hospital, home care services and eight medical clinics.

“We look forward to working with an established, well-known health plan like UnitedHealthcare,” Meriter-UnityPoint Health CEO Arthur Nizza said. “Soon, we can provide even more people in our community with access to quality, compassionate primary and specialty healthcare.”

UnitedHealthcare serves more than 1.5 million people in Wisconsin with a network of 145 hospitals and more than 27,000 physicians and other care providers statewide.
