MADISON, Wis. – Enjoy holiday fun and great shopping—including trolley rides, free family shows, crafting, music, and more, plus special offers and refreshments from participating merchants—at the Downtown Holiday Open House, Friday and Saturday, November 27-28, 2015, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, State Street and the Capitol Square. Visit downtown Madison with family and friends the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving! Enjoy Holiday Trolley rides with welcome bags treats for children, pictures with Santa and a holiday crafting party at DreamBank, , “Kids in the Rotunda” performances at Overture Center (incredible bubble wizardry with “Bubble Wonders”, and a be-bopping family party with The Cash Box Kings), “thankful” crafting and art activities at Madison Children’s Museum, and family activities at the Central Library. Stop by downtown businesses, many locally owned, to get a start on your holiday shopping and giving. The free Holiday Trolley continues Saturdays, December 5, 12, and 19, running from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on State Street and the Capitol Square (trolley follow Capitol Loop detour on Dec. 5th). Also enjoy carolers strolling State Street and the Square on those Saturdays from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Information is at visitdowntownmadison.com.
