MADISON, Wis. (March 9, 2015)—The Cars on State Classic Car Show returns to State Street in Madison for a 9th year on Saturday, June 6, 2015, from 10 am to 3 pm. More than 100 classic cars and trucks will be on display on State Street from the State Capitol to the University of Wisconsin campus. CALL FOR ENTRIES: Organizers are accepting entries of classic cars and trucks a minimum of twenty years old, and hope to showcase entries from the Madison area, Wisconsin and beyond. The entry deadline is Wednesday, May 13, 2015.
Cars featured in 2014 include a 1917 Model T, a 1936 Cadillac Town Cabriolet (the only one known to exist), a 1940 Studebaker, a 1947 Olds Convertible, a 1949 Packard Deluxe, a 1957 Ford Thunderbird, a 1966 Pontiac GTO, a 1966 GMC pickup truck, a 1969 Dart Swinger, and a 1974 Triumph Spitfire. This family-friendly event offers a perfect day to come downtown and take a stroll after the Farmers Market on the Square to see a wonderful array of classic cars and trucks, talk to the owners, grab a bite to eat, and shop at downtown businesses, many locally owned.
