Board of Directors Election Results

Madison, WI – The Madison International Trade Association (MITA) is proud to announce the results of its annual board of directors’ election. Elected to three-year terms starting in August were:

Sandi Siegel, Managing Director and co-Owner of M.E.Dey & Co., a full service Freight Forwarder and Customs Broker servicing Wisconsin since 1907.

Juan Mir, a Senior Vice President at PNC Financial Services Group assisting companies in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan

Scott Forest, a Director for Global Continuous Improvement at Trek Bicycle Corp.

The three are replacing outgoing board member Mary Regel and Karen Nielsen. Continuing members of the board include Jen Pino-Gallagher, John Cornell, Aleda Bourassa, Ric Frantz, Erik Ibele, Jim Brunker, and Monica Wahlberg.

“MITA has an extremely hardworking board for a volunteer organization,” said the group’s President, Jen Pino-Gallagher. “We are very fortunate to have Sandi, Juan and Scott bring their diverse skills, ideas, and network of contacts to the board.”

New MITA Board Member Biographies

Scott Forest is a Director for Global Continuous Improvement at Trek Bicycle Corp. He coordinates a global network of 60+ CI facilitators and practitioners in 33 business segments across 5 continents. Prior to this role, Scott was the first-ever Chief of Business Transformation in the U.S. Air Force. Scott has flown fighter, reconnaissance, and command and control aircraft for the Air Force in peacetime and combat.He
received an MBA from Oklahoma City University and earned Distinguished Graduate honors and a Masters in Strategy from the U.S. military’s National War College. His bachelor’s degree is in engineering from Stanford University. After the Air Force, Scott moved his family back to his Wisconsin hometown, 10 miles from Trek.

Juan Mir is a Senior Vice President at PNC Financial Services Group. Juan has served as a non-voting member of the MITA during the 2013/2014 program year. He assists companies in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan manage their international sales and supply chain. Juan joined PNC in 2006. Prior to that, he had 16 years of banking experience including real estate loan workout, credit administration, mergers & acquisition, and international and domestic treasury management serving multi-national clients. He started his career in public accounting where for over eight years he served real estate and governmental clients. Juan received his MBA from DePaul University. He is also a certified treasury professional.

Sandi Siegel is one of the owners and managing directors of M.E. Dey & Co, a full service Freight Forwarder and Customs Broker servicing Wisconsin since 1907. Sandi oversees the Import Brokerage and Logistics Divisions and works with importers to develop their supply chain programs including cost analysis, customs compliance, and interpretation of customs regulatory issues. Sandi obtained her customs broker’s license in 1986 and earned her BS in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University. Sandi also maintains a Certified Customs Specialist accreditation through the National Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association. M.E. Dey has been an active member and supporter of both the Madison and Milwaukee Trade Associations. Sandi joined the MITA board in July 2014 to fill out the final year of a previous board member’s term.
