MILWAUKEE — The award-winning Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce will be holding its second Annual Wisconsin LGBT Wedding Expo Saturday, November 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center.
“With marriage equality the law of the land all across this country, we want to help LGBT couples prepare for their special day by finding vendors that share their values,” said Jason Rae, executive director of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
The Wisconsin LGBT Wedding Expo will have a variety of vendors from a different wedding related industries, including venues, travel planners, musical entertainment, caterers, and more. In 2014, the Expo had 54 vendors on hand to talk to the more than 250 individuals that attended.
“We are excited about the economic impact that marriage equality will have on our state, and specifically, for our LGBT owned and allied businesses,” added Rae. “Marriage equality is expected to generate an estimated $34.3 million in spending for Wisconsin. After seeing the success of last year’s Expo, we knew we needed to do it again so that we could continue to help the LGBT community find vendors for their special day and to help promote pro-fairness businesses.”
