Local Construction Firms Recognized with Projects of Distinction Awards

Madison, WI, February 19th, 2015 – The Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) Wisconsin Chapter named JG Development, Inc., a full-service team of residential design and building professionals, and NCI-Roberts Construction, Inc., a full-service commercial construction firm, recipients of 2014 Projects of Distinction Awards.

NCI-Roberts received a Gold award in the category of Institutional over $5 Million their work on the Door Creek Church located in Madison, WI. JG Development received a Gold award in the category of Residential Single-Unit for the construction of an industrial style home built in Blue Mounds, WI.

Winners were announced at the 2014 Annual Projects of Distinction Banquet held on February 5th, 2015 at the Glacier Canyon Lodge Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells.

The Projects of Distinction Awards Program recognizes the most distinct construction projects in Wisconsin. “The contractor members of ABC Wisconsin represent the free enterprise way of business,” says Chris Reinhart, marketing director for Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin. “To win an award our members must be safe, skilled and highly trained. These awards are truly earned, not just awarded, and all of our members can be proud of the winners,” Reinhart adds.

Project entries were evaluated by an independent panel of construction related teams. Winners are judged in numerous criteria to earn their awards. Awards are not based on just the best looking or biggest project. Winners must show how their project was distinctive from the others. Overcoming challenges, being innovative and other criteria come into play in awarding Gold and Silver awards. Winning projects were eligible for entry in ABC’s National Excellence in Construction Awards Program.
