First Bank Financial Centre Donates to Brookfield East BEAST Robotics
Oconomowoc, Wis. – First Bank Financial Centre recently donated $1,000 to the Brookfield East Team 2202 BEAST Robotics team.
BEAST Robotics is a year round club that works to design and build a robot to compete in the FIRST competitions. FIRST Robotics is a “unique sport of the mind” that instills students with real-world professional experience and lifelong skills such as teamwork and competition.
Each year, the BEAST team builds a robot in six weeks and competes at multiple competitions. The FBFC donation will be used towards robot production parts, tools, travel costs, team registration and competition costs.
The BEAST Robotics team recently competed in the Lake Superior Regional in Duluth MN and ranked 19th out of 63 teams. The team was awarded the Hard Hat Award for their safety recognition for the outreach of children visiting the competition. On March 20-21 the team will be competing in the Wisconsin Regional at the UWM Panther Arena in Milwaukee. Admission to this event is free.
