Edge Advisors Opens Appleton Office as Part of Statewide Expansion

Accounting and Consulting Firm Also Launches New Client Services

West Allis, WI, January 15, 2015 — Edge Advisors LLC, an accounting and consulting firm that serves primarily the dental and healthcare market, announced today that it has opened an office in Appleton with three employees and plans to hire more. Marshall Watry, CPA, who joined Edge in late 2013 from SVA Appleton, leads the new office.

The firm also announced the start of a new affiliate business, Edge Wealth Advisors, a Registered Investment Advisory that provides comprehensive wealth management for individuals and retirement plan services for businesses. Edge Wealth, based in West Allis, is managed by Rob Joyce. He has over 10 years of trading, investment and wealth management experience, holds a Masters in Economics, and is Series 65 certified by FINRA. Appleton’s Watry, who also holds a Series 65 license, will serve as a client advisor for Edge Wealth In addition to his Appleton leadership and accounting client responsibilities.

“Our new Appleton office and Edge Wealth affiliate business is part of a plan to continue to expand the range of services we offer clients and increase our on the ground geographic reach,” explained Edge Advisors Co-Founder and Principal, Mike Bark, CPA, CVA, MST. “Through acquisitions and organic growth, we’ll continue to add new client capabilities, employees and locations in 2015.”

Edge also recently added marketing and brand development to its client service portfolio. Jacob Weiss, based in Appleton, has been hired to lead that offering and support clients’ business and practice development needs.

Since it was founded in 2012, Edge has grown from 4 to 18 employees. Revenues in 2014 increased 47 percent from 2013 to $1.3 million. The firm expects to surpass $2 million in revenues in 2015. Overall about 75 percent of Edge’s clients are in healthcare and dental, while the firm’s accounting clientele is a more diverse mix with about half in other business sectors.
