Capri Senior Communities to Open Center After Completing $1 Million Building Renovation;
Hyland Crossings Marks Capri’s Entrance into Dane County
SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. – Capri Senior Communities, a leading operator of senior living apartment communities and special housing developments based in Waukesha, today announced it will open the Hyland Crossings Memory Care Community in Sun Prairie in late September. Hyland Crossings, located in the Liberty Square Development Area just northwest of downtown Sun Prairie, is Capri’s first property in Dane County and will offer 24 memory care units for residents.
Capri has invested $1 million in renovating the facility, which previously operated under a different name and owner.
“Hyland Crossings Memory Care Community will be a beautiful addition to downtown Sun Prairie, helping meet the growing need for specialized assisted living services in the area and reflecting the high quality for which our senior communities are known,” said James Tarantino, principal with Capri Senior Communities. “Additionally, Hyland Crossings is a great addition to our growing organization. We look forward to being part of the Sun Prairie community and to exploring other opportunities for future growth in Dane County.”
Hyland Crossings will include a number of services and amenities, including a secure memory care garden, an upgraded nurse call system, iN2L innovative technology and software, memory stations, a remodeled beauty salon and the addition of a new resident program/activity area. New furniture, paint, improved lighting in the common areas and units as well as new artwork will provide an upscale living environment for residents and guests.
Hyland Crossings is located at 1249 School St., near Hyland Park, a 48-unit assisted living facility. Capri has managed Hyland Park since September 2013 and will be sole owner and operator of the new memory care center.
