Janesville, Wis. November 16th, 2015 – Blain’s Farm and Fleet stores will be closed for business on Thanksgiving Day and wishes all of our employees, friends and their families a safe and happy holiday.

Blain’s Farm and Fleet is a second generation, family owned company, founded by brothers Claude and Bert Blain in 1955. Bert’s daughter, Jane Blain Gilbertson, now CEO and sole owner is proud of the traditions started by her father and uncle and staying true to the Blain’s tradition – will remain closed on Thanksgiving Day.

“Our company wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for strong family values and traditions,” says Blain Gilbertson. “So it goes without saying that we will close our doors on holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. These are special days meant to be spent with family and friends and I want to give that opportunity to the 4,000 associates who work hard year round for our company.”

“Even though our competitors may open their doors earlier and earlier each year on Thanksgiving Day, we hope our customers will appreciate that we recognize these special holidays differently to honor our past, our traditions, our associates and our customers. We truly have a lot to be thankful for.”

Blain’s Farm and Fleet will open their doors on Black Friday, November 27th, at 6:00a.m. with early bird specials and sales.

“We want our customers to relax and enjoy the day with food, family, friends, and of course a great football game. We know our associates will be well fed, rested and ready to serve our communities with some amazing sales and a fun shopping experience on Black Friday.”

Founded in 1955, Blain’s Farm & Fleet stores are specialty discount retailers with 36 locations throughout Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin. The company remains steadfast in its commitment to offering customers high quality products, competitive prices and reliable service. Visit
