4G LTE Signal, AT&T U-verse Services

MILWAUKEE, MARCH 26, 2015 — AT&T* has invested nearly $900 million in its best-in-class wireless and wired networks in Wisconsin between 2012 and 2014, driving a wide range of upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and performance for residents and business customers.

As part of its Project Velocity IP (VIP), an investment plan focused on network enhancement and expansion, AT&T in 2014 made 449 wireless network upgrades in Wisconsin, including 12 new cell sites, 89 wireless broadband upgrades, and 334 new wireless high-speed Internet connections.

“With a growing range of connected home appliances, cars and wearable devices, we depend more on network connectivity than ever before,” said Scott T. VanderSanden, president of AT&T Wisconsin. “AT&T’s continued investment in Wisconsin brings a host of new, innovative opportunities for residents and businesses to connect with each other and their customers.”

Notable Wisconsin network enhancements in 2014 included:

• AT&T extended its LTE footprint in 51 counties throughout Wisconsin;

• New cell sites were added in Cadott, Colgate, Plymouth and Wausau;

• Activation of a new Distributed Antenna System (DAS) network for Camp Randall at the University of Wisconsin; and

• Improvement of AT&T’s DAS network at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.

“Fast and reliable Internet connectivity is critical to economic growth in Wisconsin as businesses need access to the latest technologies to be competitive in today’s global economy,” said State Senator Roger Roth (R-Appleton). “Investments like AT&T’s not only help our businesses grow, but they also help keep our residents connected and open up new opportunities in so many areas from education to medicine.”

AT&T provides the nation’s most reliable 4G LTE network today, covering more than 300 million Americans with 4G LTE service.** AT&T’s network also has the nation’s strongest LTE signal.*** During 2014, several markets in Wisconsin were added to AT&T’s extensive LTE network, including Dane, Brown, Chippewa, Clark, Eau Claire, Manitowoc, Marathon, Portage, Rock and Wood Counties.
