New Housing starts shows upward trend and positive growth predictions in 2014

(Madison, WI) – With the economy showing signs of improvement and consumer confidence rising, new single family housing starts are also seeing growth. The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) reports that on a national basis, single-family housing starts are projected to get back to 70 percent of normal production by the end of this year and 93 percent of normal by the end of 2015. This recent prediction is according to Robert Denk, NAHB’s assistant vice president for forecasting and analysis.

During the month of April, The Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA) revealed a consumer education campaign highlighting the benefits of building a new home with a qualified Wisconsin builder. Five weekly themes focused on new home advantages.

Newly built homes:
· Are Healthy for you and your Family,

· Offer Safety Features & Peace of Mind,

· Make Entertaining Fun and Easy,

· Save you Money and are a Wise Investment,

· Are a Personal Achievement and accomplishment of the American dream.

“Consumers can be intimidated by the idea of building a new home, but armed with the right information they find that building a home is actually quite affordable and within their reach,” said Kirsten Lee Villegas, WBA State Executive Officer. “And recent new home starts growth shows that building a home is still part of the American Dream for many families.”

Villegas stresses that finding a qualified builder who can answer questions and walk a buyer step-by-step through the process is key in having a good experience. To find a WBA builder member in your area, visit www.HomeSweetNewHome.com .
