Wilkinson Will Continue as Chairman
Madison, WI, December 29, 2014 — Wisconsin Bank & Trust, a Madison-based community bank serving businesses and individuals from nine locations statewide, announced today that Thomas J. Wilkinson will retire from the bank on December 31, 2014. Wilkinson will remain Chairman of the Board.
Commenting on the transition, Kevin Tenpas, who succeeded Wilkinson as President and CEO in 2013, said, “Tom led this organization with a steady hand for many years, and we are grateful for his enormous contributions to the bank. We are also glad Tom will continue to stay engaged as Chairman of the Board as he steps into retirement.”
Wilkinson joined Wisconsin Bank and Trust in 1998 and served as Chairman and CEO until 2013. Prior to Wisconsin Bank and Trust, Wilkinson was President and CEO of First National Bancorp, Inc. in Madison Wisconsin. He also served as Executive Vice President of Valley Bank & Trust in South Bend, Indiana, and President and COO of American National Bank and Trust, also in South Bend.
Wilkinson has also served on the boards of several companies and has been deeply involved in the community including chairing the finance committee for Forward Wisconsin Investment and St. Victor Church and School. He served on the board of directors of Green County Family YMCA, WNIT Public Television, and Lalumiere School. He chaired the Monroe Clinic Capital Fund Drive and the United Way Major Donor Campaign, and he served as Vice President of the Green County American Cancer Society and participated in the Bankers for Grass Roots Government committee of the WBA.
