Milwaukee, Wisconsin (May 15, 2014) — Michael Edwin, a senior living consultant in Wipfli LLP’s health care practice, was recently awarded the Center for Health Administration and Aging Services Excellence’s (CHAASE) 2014 Distinguished Service Award.

Edwin earned the Distinguished Service Award as a result of his contributions to the CHAASE program over the past 10 years. His contributions include serving on the CHAASE board of advisors, contributing to the CHAASE strategic planning process, serving as an adjunct educator of future nursing home administrators in the CHAASE program, and his overall commitment and contributions to the senior living industry.

“We are thrilled that Mike is being honored for his outstanding work in the senior living industry and his contributions as a board advisor for CHAASE,” said Steve Thompson, Wipfli partner-in-charge of the health care industry. “As a renowned expert in the industry, Mike is committed to helping his clients navigate the ever-changing regulations and other challenges in the senior living industry while moving the senior living industry forward at the same time.”

Edwin is a senior living consultant and analyst in Wipfli’s health care services practice. In his position, he provides community and facility assessments, market research data collection and analysis, strategic planning, board education and retreats for senior living operators and developers. In addition to being a member of CHAASE’s Board of Advisors, Edwin is board president and is on the Governance Committee for the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association (WALA), and he is a member of the Leading Age Wisconsin and Wisconsin Association of County Homes (WACH).

CHAASE is a unique partnership that combines academia with provider organizations and professional associations. The organization serves as a bridge between academics and practitioners in the senior care continuum. They accomplish that by fostering applied research, supplemental activities and relationships between their educational programs and health and aging services providers and professional associations across the country.
