Wil-Kil Pest Control to Host Bed Bug Boot Camp February 20 for Fox Cities/Green Bay Area Businesses
Experts to discuss statewide challenges and solutions in ongoing bed bug battle
Sun Prairie, Wis., Feb. 4, 2014…As bed bug infestations continue to rise both regionally and nationally, locally-based Wil-Kil Pest Control remains steadfast in educating area individuals and businesses in the fight against bed bugs. To address ongoing concerns, the company will host a Bed Bug Boot Camp for Fox Cities/Green Bay area business on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the Riverview Gardens (formerly known as Riverview Country Club) located at 1101 S. Oneida St. in Appleton, Wis. The complementary Bed Bug Boot Camp is one in a series of ongoing informational workshops the company has hosted in the past three years.
“Our Bed Bug Boot Camps allow managers in the real estate, hospitality, health care, senior living and other affected industries to come together and share the most up-to-date knowledge on bed bug prevention and treatment techniques,” said Randy Allen, regional manager of Wil-Kil. “In the past year, we have seen a spike in bed bug populations on both a local and national scale. Without the proper education, prevention is not accomplished and the spread is not stemmed. As pest control providers, we not only play a role in treating bed bugs, but also in educating businesses and individuals on the ways they can be proactive to overcome some of the challenges associated with bed bugs.”
Bed Bug Boot Camp Details:
The Bed Bug Boot Camp is from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. There is no cost to attend. Topics discussed include the biology and behavior of bed bugs, the importance of inspections, and various treatment and prevention techniques available – including canine scent detection. Attendees will also witness Wil-Kil’s bed bug scent detection canines, Max and Daisy, perform a live detection demonstration.
