Restaurant Gives Prize for Mother with Most Kids
Janesville, WI. Every mother has a kid, but not every kid has multiple siblings, which is why Quaker Steak & Lube, 3111 Wellington Court, will honor the mothers of multiple kids on Mothers’ Day, May 11, by giving a $100 gift card to the mother who brings in the most kids as part of its Big Mothers’ Day Celebration.
“I was once a kid myself, so I know just how hard it is to be a mom,” said Scott Acker, owner of the Wisconsin Quaker Steak & Lube franchises. “Just imagining what a mom of multiples—one who does, two, three or eight times what my mom did is truly daunting! We want to give extra recognition to all those moms who do the extra work of raising so many kids.”
Many agree that motherhood represents a challenging job with countless hours, much stress and seemingly little reward. Having multiple kids exponentially increases that challenge, so Acker made certain to recognize these devoted mothers.
“I wouldn’t be surprised to get the mothers of triplets, quintuplets, maybe even a baker’s dozen in the restaurant. But we’re not expecting someone like Mrs. Vassilyev to come strolling through the door, so any mother is eligible to win!” said Acker, referencing the 17th century Russian peasant who was renowned for having mothered 69 children over the course of 27 births.
The Big Mothers’ Day Celebration runs all day on May 11. Reservations are appreciated for immediate seating by calling 608.563.5665. Eligible mothers need not be present at the end of the day; they just need to have made an appearance with their own kids to contend for the prize.
