Public Service Commission: Releases dates for badger coulee transmission project scoping sessions

[Madison, Wis.] – The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin has released the dates, times and locations of six scoping sessions in the coming month to solicit input from the public to help determine the scope of the Environmental Impact Statement that must be prepared regarding the proposed Badger Coulee Transmission Project.



The American Transmission Company and Northern States Power Company of Wisconsin have jointly filed an application with the Public Service Commission to construct a 345 kilovolt electric transmission line from Onalaska, WI to Middleton, WI.



This proposed transmission line may be up to 185 miles long depending on the route selected. The two proposed routes cross nine counties and 74 municipalities and towns throughout Wisconsin.



The scoping sessions will be held between the dates of May 28, 2014 and June 10, 2014. Anyone interested in this project is invited to attend. These meetings will run from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM and are scheduled as follows:
