offers Halloween fun for the entire family!

Ashwaubenon (Green Bay, Wis.) – As sure as the leaves will be changing colors this autumn, The Great Pumpkin Train will be leaving the depot at The National Railroad Museum (www.nationalrrmuseum.org) on October 11th and 18th to transport families on their quest for a perfect pumpkin.

Each admission to the Great Pumpkin Train includes a variety of entertainment, crafts, and games for children of all ages — and a chance to ride the train to the pumpkin patch. The Green Bay Packers, Green Bay Seven Up Bottling Company and Aloft Hotel are event sponsors and WFRV (Channel 5), Woodward Radio Group, Radio Results Network and The Family Radio Station are media sponsors.

Other event activities that can be enjoyed throughout both event days: a craft station where you can make your own Halloween mask, pumpkin pitch, pumpkin bowling and all of the Museum’s regular exhibits. There will also be an entertainment stage that will feature a variety of musicians and magicians. This year’s entertainment includes:

The comedy and magic of Jeff McMullen –
two shows each Saturday – Oct. 11 at 9:30 a.m. & 4:00 p.m and Oct. 18 at 10:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.

The kids’ rock ‘n roll of Mr. Billy –
two shows each Saturday – 12:00 p.m. & 3:00 p.m.

There will also be a spectacular coloring contest presented by Green Bay 7-Up Bottling Company and their wonderful 7-Up products. Youngsters are encouraged to color a Halloween picture while they visit during the Great Pumpkin Train. Winners will be selected hourly to receive 7-Up products. All coloring contest entries will also compete in an artistic judging for a year’s supply of 7-Up products.

Tickets for The Great Pumpkin Train are $10 per person; and children under age of two are admitted free. Advance reservations are not necessary. Tickets can be purchased at the main gate during the event. Proceeds from this event will go to support the Museum’s programs and operations.
