Brookfield, Wis. – December 22, 2014 – Judi Murphy, Senior VP and Co-Founder
of Murphy Associates, is the recipient of the second-ever Chamber Champion award
presented by the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce (GBCC).
Carol White, President and CEO of GBCC, said, “This is only the second time the
chamber has given a Chamber Champion award. This award is given to a member in
recognition of years of continued support of the chamber and its mission. We are pleased
to recognize Judi Murphy for all that she has done to promote the GBCC to regional
businesses and shared with those businesses the impact chamber membership can make
in growing a business.”
The 560+ member chamber of commerce leaders awarded the honor to Murphy at the
Chamber’s 57th
Murphy said, “As a member of the Brookfield Chamber for 23 years, we have seen first-
hand the difference engaged chamber membership can make to a business’s growth. The
connections and relationships we have made over the years have brought us success as
we help others grow. I am humbled that the Brookfield Chamber has honored me in this
way.”
Murphy is in her 23rd year of membership with the chamber; she was a member of the
board of directors for six years and is a past board chair. She also led the Ambassadors
Council. and represented the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce as a voting
member of Visit Brookfield’s board of directors. She currently serves as public relations
liaison for GBCC, is chair of the Communications and Marketing committee, and is a
member of the Ambassadors Council.
Murphy brings over 20 years of innovation in public relations, marketing strategy, and
thought leadership to the organization; she also serves on the business advisory boards at
Waukesha County Technical College and Herzing University.
She was a member of the City of Brookfield’s marketing committee charged with
rebranding the City’s economic development efforts, was a member of the City of
Brookfield 2020 Master Plan Task Force, and is a past board member of Tempo
Waukesha.
