Milwaukee Press Club: Newsmaker Luncheon to feature Archbishop Listecki

The Milwaukee Press Club will present a Newsmaker Luncheon featuring Archbishop Jerome Listecki on Wednesday, Sept. 3.

The public is invited to attend the event from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub in downtown Milwaukee at 137 E. Wells St.

Listecki will be interviewed by a panel of Milwaukee journalists. The conversation will cover a wide range of topics regarding the future of the Roman Catholic Church.

Listecki was named the 11th archbishop of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee by Pope Benedict XVI. Listecki succeeded the Timothy Dolan, who was named archbishop of New York on Feb. 23, 2009. Listecki previously served as bishop of the Diocese of LaCrosse.

The Milwaukee Press Club’s Newsmaker Luncheon Series is sponsored by Journal Communications and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The Milwaukee Press Club presents the Newsmaker Luncheons to shed light on issues of the day. The public is invited to attend the luncheons. The cost to attend is $18 for MPC members, $23 for non-members, $13 for students. Lunch is included. Seating will be limited. Cancellations will be accepted up to 48 hours in advance for a full refund.
