MILWAUKEE (July 3, 2014) – Michael Best & Friedrich LLP Partner Mike Jones has been presented with the Jack M. Birchhill Award from the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF). Jones received this award for his role in leveraging the support of MillerCoors to make the UPAF Ride for the Arts one of the largest one-day recreational bike rides in the United States. This year, more than 6,000 riders participated in the Ride.

“It is amazing to see how many families and riders support the performing arts by partaking in the Ride. I am truly honored to have been presented with this award and hope the Ride for the Arts continues to grow even larger so that performing arts will always be present in the Milwaukee community,” Jones said.

Currently, Jones is a member of the Transactional Practice Group in Michael Best’s Milwaukee office with an emphasis on corporate governance and commercial transactions. He has a passion for being involved throughout the Milwaukee community, not only with UPAF but also Milwaukee Academy of Science, Milwaukee Public Museum and St. Charles Youth and Family Services, Inc.

“Mike’s passion and appreciation of a thriving performing arts community are truly inspirational. His longstanding leadership as a UPAF Board member and Ride champion are greatly appreciated. He is a true advocate for our mission,” said UPAF President & CEO Deanna Tillisch.
