MILWAUKEE – Thomas Miller, AIA, has joined Kahler Slater, an award-winning architecture and experience design firm. As an associate principal, he will lead the firm’s housing and hospitality practice.



Miller brings a rare combination of skills and experience to his new position. His career has focused on creating exciting living environments for the hospitality and multi-family housing markets, including both new construction and historic renovation projects. Miller is an award-winning architect who also has extensive experience in managing both architectural teams and complex, privately financed development projects. Insights gained from those projects have enabled him to partner successfully with developers to provide high-quality design within project development budgets.

A Wisconsin native, Miller returns to the state from Bahr Vermeer Haecker Architects in Omaha, where he had been an associate principal. Earlier, Miller spent 15 years as a senior planning and development project manager for the Madison (Wis.) -based Alexander Company, which specializes in urban development and historic preservation. He began his career at Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP as an architectural designer and urban planner.



Miller has a Bachelor of Arts degree in architecture from the University of California, Berkley, and a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University, New York
