Brookfield, Wis. – February 10, 2014 — Carol White, IOM, President of the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, has been elected to the board of directors of the Elmbrook Humane Society, Brookfield, Wis.

Carol White said, “I was honored to be asked to serve on the board of this organization. I have always been a lover of animals, and this just seems to be an excellent fit. I also believe that my not-for-profit experience with the 530+ member Brookfield Chamber can be of assistance to another not-for-profit organization in our community.”

Incorporated in 1964, The Elmbrook Humane Society has over 200 volunteers and cares for over 2,500 animals each year. Its mission is to promote the human-animal bond through adoption and education, to provide shelter to homeless animals, and to prevent animal cruelty and neglect. Elmbrook Humane Society is a no-kill organization.

The Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce is the leading business organization representing the interests of business in Brookfield and the surrounding area.
