Godfrey & Kahn Shareholder Thomas N. Shorter elected to the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) Board of Directors

MILWAUKEE (May 22, 2014) – Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is proud to announce that Shareholder and Chair of the firm’s Health Care Practice Group, Tom Shorter has been elected to a first term for the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) board of directors.

The AHLA is the nation’s largest nonpartisan educational organization devoted to legal issues in the health care field. The Association’s 12,500 members practice in a variety of settings in the health care community.

Shorter is a shareholder and chair of the firm’s Health Care Practice Group. He represents hospitals, physicians’ groups, research institutions and health care related organizations, as well as other businesses, providing counsel on health care, corporate, labor and employment and regulatory matters. Shorter earned his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
