The Emergent Technology Center Board of Directors has elected its officers for 2015. The Board elected the following officers:

Chair – Steve Jenkins, President, Fond du Lac Economic Development Corporation

Vice Chair – Colleen Merrill, Executive Director, UW-Oshkosh Small Business Development Center

Secretary – Dr. Fred Rice, Dean, Applied Technology and Trades, Moraine Park Technical College

Treasurer – Amy Hansen, Executive Director, Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership



Other members of the Board include:

Erin Gerred, Director of Administration, Fond du Lac County

Ryan Hatch, Digital Fertilizer, Green Bay

The Emergent Labs also announced the first four graduate teams of the accelerator program. Emergent Labs, a subset ofEmergent Technology Center, is a mentor-driven emerging technologies seed accelerator serving entrepreneurs in northeastern Wisconsin. Though this program, participants learn Lean and Agile business practices to prepare them to enter the high-tech business world.The goal of Emergent Labs is to train and expose entrepreneurs to best practices in starting a business alongside world-class mentors and subject matter experts. Emergent Labs is not intended to compete with higher education institutes but will instead foster the development of high-technology enterprises, some which may come from students from these institutions.



Selected teams areenrolled in a 12 week mentor-driven Lean Business Startup training program. Teams are exposed to Emergent Lab’s vast tech network, required to complete a business model canvas, guided through an intense validation process, and taught to pitch their products to angel investors.

Health Connection LLC

Health Connection LLC has developed an app which will eliminate the use of paper instructional handouts traditionally used for at-home therapy. The app allows therapists to assign and track exercise therapy.In turn, patients provide feedback after each workout session back to their therapist.
