Community Blood Center Kicks off Holiday Season with Packer Tickets Promotion

APPLETON/FOX CITIES, NOVEMBER 17 – The Community Blood Center (CBC) will be giving away a pair of Packer/Lions game tickets to a lucky volunteer donor who registers to give blood between November 22-30. Every presenting donor at all CBC Donor Centers and Bloodmobiles during the promotion is eligible to receive one entry into the drawing to win the grand prize set of two (2) tickets to the game. The home game at Lambeau Field in Green Bay is scheduled on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at noon. The winner will be drawn and contacted by phone on Monday, December 8. The prize tickets were donated by Dave and Mary Willems, long-time Community Blood Center donors and supporters.

“Just as playing at Lambeau Field is a challenge in December, the holiday season is a challenge for the blood center. Help us meet the needs of patients in our hospitals, and get a chance at attending the Packers/Lions game on December 28th,” said CBC Recruitment Manager Chuck Moore.

The Community Blood Center is a non-profit organization that has worked with generous blood donors to provide a steady, reliable blood supply for hospital patients for over 50 years. Volunteers who donate blood support the local blood supply at 18 hospitals in Wisconsin and Michigan. Partnerships are created with community groups, schools, churches, and businesses to hold over 125 blood drives each month. Donor centers are located in Appleton, Little Chute, Oshkosh, and Woodruff. Blood and blood product donations are needed every day to meet the needs of community hospital patients. Appointments may be made online at www.save3lives.org or by calling 800-280-4102.
