JANESVILLE, WI – Alonzo Kelly, an expert on leadership development, strategic planning and professional goal achievement, will speak on enhancing professional communication skills at Blackhawk Technical College on Friday, March 28.
Kelly, the co-author of two books on professional leadership and the president of the Kelly Leadership Group (KLG) in Hales Corners, WI, will appear in the North Commons at the Central Campus at 1 p.m. as part of BTC’s Career and Professional Development Week. The session is open to the general public.
Kelly joined with Brian Tracy in 2013 to co-write “The Ultimate Success Guide: The World’s Leading Experts Reveal Their Secret for Success in Business and Life.’’ Later that year, he teamed with bestselling author Jack Canfield to write “Dare to Succeed: The World’s Leading Experts Reveal Their Secrets to Success in Business and Life and Dare You to Succeed.’’
Canfield is best known for his popular “Chicken Soup’’ series of books.
Kelly is a popular speaker at postsecondary schools and has made many appearances at schools in the Wisconsin Technical College System. He formed KLG in 2009 and has served individuals and businesses in personal and professional development guidance.
Kelly’s appearance is part of the BTC Career and Professional Development Office’s week of activities designed to enhance job searching skills for BTC students and the public. In addition to Kelly’s talk, Career and Professional Development will provide resume review services on Tuesday, March 25, from noon to 1 p.m. in room 2616 of the BTC Central Campus.
