Madison. June 2, 2014—Bronfman E.L. Rothschild is the new name for Baker Tilly Investment Advisors, LP, a registered investment advisor focused on creating, enhancing and preserving wealth for individuals and institutions and helping retirement plan sponsors achieve their goals. The name and brand were launched today with a new look and website at www.belr.com

Background
In May 2013, Baker Tilly Investment Advisors partnered with the Bronfman and E.L. Rothschild family offices. Until 2013, Baker Tilly Investment Advisors was a wholly owned subsidiary of the accounting firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP. The Baker Tilly Investment Advisor management team developed a growth plan to expand the resources it could provide to clients while strengthening its organization through a broader geographic presence. The scale of the plan required outside capital. Baker Tilly Investment Advisors undertook a search to identify partners to help achieve its long-range goals. A number of suitable partners were identified and all wanted to make an investment, but the opportunity that dovetailed best with the company’s core values was a partnership with Matthew Bronfman and E.L. Rothschild.
Matthew Bronfman is chairman and CEO of BHB Holdings LLC, and has made significant investments in numerous companies including several Israeli-based companies including IKEA Israel, Israel Discount Bank and the Shufersal supermarket chain. E.L. Rothschild LLC is a family owned, private investment holding company that oversees a variety of Sir Evelyn and Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild’s global investments. Current holdings include media, financial services, infrastructure, technology, luxury goods and real estate. The principals take a long-term view toward partnership and value creation.
Partnering with the existing leadership team of Bruce Laning, Kelly Baumbach, and Brian Powers, the family offices of Matthew Bronfman and E.L. Rothschild purchased the firm to create a stand-alone investment advisor.
