American Transmission Co.: Satterfield named EVP of business development, planning, policy, communications

PEWAUKEE, WIS. – American Transmission Co. has named Randy Satterfield executive vice president of strategic planning and project development. In his new role at ATC, Satterfield oversees business development, strategic planning, regulatory policy and communications.

Satterfield joined ATC in 2003 as director of communications. In 2006, he became director of regulatory and governmental relations. He was named vice president of public affairs in 2008 and was promoted to executive vice president of public affairs and human resources in 2012, overseeing government relations, real estate, environmental, local relations, communications, customer relations, human resources and facilities.



Prior to joining ATC, Satterfield provided strategic communications, government affairs and political consulting services to a variety of corporations and organizations in Wisconsin. Before relocating to Wisconsin, Satterfield served as an assistant director in the Bureau of Consumer Protection at the Federal Trade Commission. In his 13 years in Washington, D.C., he also provided strategic communications, international corporate relations and political consulting services to a variety of organizations and corporations.



Satterfield holds bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and political science from Marquette University.
