Product Meets Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Use in People’s Republic of China

MILWAUKEE, WI – ZBB Energy Corporation (NYSE MKT: ZBB), a leading developer of intelligent, renewable energy power platforms and hybrid vehicle control systems, announced today that Anhui Meineng Store Energy System Co., Ltd. has received third-party certification for the ZBB EnerStore® advanced flow battery as meeting the requirements of Standard GBZ2.1-2007 of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for use in the People’s Republic of China.

NIOSH Standard GBZ 2.1-2007 sets the acceptable concentration level for bromine at 0.6 mg/m3. SGS Group (www.sgsgroup.com.cn), a recognized global leader in industrial product certification, did a thorough measurement of the environmental bromine concentration for the ZBB EnerStore advanced flow battery using ion chromatography (in accordance with NIOSH 7903-1994). The level measured was < 0.07mg/m3 (the lower detection threshold for the measurement equipment) during battery operation, for all locations measured in and around the battery. “The ZBB EnerStore advanced flow battery was designed for outstanding energy storage performance with a focus on industry leading product safety. The battery’s measurements for chemical and vapor containment are also best in class,” said Brad Hansen, Meineng Energy GM and CEO. “We are pleased that SGS Group has certified our product as being compliant to the Chinese national safety standards. Our product continues to gain customer acceptance in China, thanks in part to our emphasis on product safety.” About ZBB Energy Corporation
