Event offers opportunities to network with researchers, entrepreneurs and investors

The sixth annual Wisconsin Science & Technology Symposium will take place July 22 and 23 at the University of Wisconsin-Superior in the Yellowjacket Union. The event will highlight groundbreaking research throughout the state and focus on the establishment of collaborative partnerships to accelerate innovative research.

An expected 150 to 200 science and technology researchers and representatives from the public sector and industry will attend to share ideas and spark new collaborations. The symposium will showcase cutting-edge research and technology development partnerships among the UW campuses as well as business and clinical organizations in diverse fields such as biofuels, nanotechnology, novel polymers, pharmaceuticals, digital tools, medical devices and more.

Additional highlights include freshwater research and entrepreneurship/intellectual property workshops; a scientific poster session including faculty and student projects and sponsor exhibits; and ample networking opportunities including an evening cruise and reception on Lake Superior.
