Wisconsin Potato Recipe Contest Offers Chance to Win iPad

Antigo, WI – March 21, 2013 – Wisconsin potatoes are one of the most versatile vegetables on the planet – they’re great for breakfast, lunch or dinner and they make for a healthy main course, side dish or snack. After all, potatoes are low in calories, fat-free, gluten-free and are rich in fiber, potassium and calcium.

To highlight the versatility of Wisconsin potatoes, the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association (WPVGA) is hosting a Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Wisconsin Potatoes Recipe Contest. Submit your favorite Cinco de Mayo recipe featuring Wisconsin potatoes and the rich flavors of Mexican cuisine at www.eatwisconsinpotatoes.com by April 5, 2013.

The Celebrate Cinco de Mayo Champion will receive an iPad. Second and third place winners will earn $150 and $100 gift cards, respectively, to their favorite grocery store.

Be sure to rate your favorite Celebrate Cinco de Mayo Wisconsin Potato Recipe at www.eatwisconsinpotatoes.com from April 8 – 21, 2013. Doing so will enter your name into a drawing for the chance to win a $100 gift card from Amazon.com.

Contest submissions will be shared on the Eat Wisconsin Potatoes Facebook page throughout the contest.

The WPVGA’s Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Wisconsin Potatoes Recipe Contest begins March 22, 2013. Deadline for recipe submission is April 5, 2013. Winners will be announced May 1, 2013.
