WEST ALLIS, WIS., Feb. 13, 2013 – Dr. Clifford Hartmann, a pediatric dentist who resides in New Berlin and has a practice in Greenfield, was recently elected trustee for the Wisconsin Dental Association’s seven-county Southeast Region.

A Waukesha County Dental Society member, Hartmann is also a former trustee of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a fellow in the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Academy and AAPD.

Hartmann graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry, where he also completed his pediatric residency. In addition to his private practice, he is a part-time faculty member at MUSOD and with Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Dental Residency Program.

The WDA board includes three elected representatives from each of five regions who serve a maximum of two, three-year terms. A third-year MUSOD dental student also sits on the board.

As the managing body of the association, the board conducts all WDA business as outlined in the organization’s bylaws and as directed through WDA House of Delegates policy decisions. It also establishes interim policies essential to the management of the association or of an emergency nature.

The Wisconsin Dental Association was established in 1870. With more than 3,000 members statewide, the WDA represents 85 percent of all licensed dentists and a growing number of dental hygienists in Wisconsin. WDA members are committed to promoting professional excellence and quality oral health care. The WDA is headquartered in West Allis and has a legislative office in Madison. It is one of 53 constituent (state-territorial) dental societies of the American Dental Association – the largest and oldest national dental association in the world. The Southeast Region serves the counties of Kenosha, Ozaukee, Racine, Rock, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha.
