Bank continues consumer mortgage business expansion; approximately 15 newly created jobs in each location
Madison, WI, February 27, 2013—Wisconsin Bank & Trust announced today plans to open two new dedicated mortgage lending offices in Madison and Green Bay. The two offices continue the bank’s expansion in the consumer mortgage market. Each office will create up to 15 new jobs, including approximately 10 loan originators and three to five support staff in both Madison and Green Bay.
The Green Bay office is slated to begin operations in March. The Madison office will open in April.
“At a time when some of the ‘big banks’ are shrinking their mortgage operations and even closing offices, we see outstanding opportunity,” said Kevin Tenpas, Wisconsin Bank & Trust president. “Our mortgage operations started to take off in 2011. One reason for our growth is the increasing complexity of the mortgage loan process. While customers seek the best rates, they also gravitate to community banks like ours where they can receive the service they expect.”
The dedicated mortgage office in Green Bay joins Wisconsin Bank & Trust’s existing De Pere location in serving the Green Bay area. The mortgage office location in Madison extends the bank’s presence into the East Madison area. Current full-service locations in the Madison area include Middleton, Cottage Grove, Fitchburg, and the bank’s main office on Mineral Point Road in Madison.
