Milwaukee, Wisconsin (November 7, 2013) — Michael Bell, a retired partner from Wipfli’s Spokane office, was recently honored by the National Association of Rural Health Clinics for his exceptional contributions to the rural health care industry. Bell was awarded the organization’s Ron Nelson Award, which recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership, dedication and commitment to the advancement of rural health clinics.

With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Bell focused exclusively on the health care industry, providing an array of accounting, auditing, reimbursement, and financial consulting services to a range of health care organizations from critical access hospitals to rural health clinics. Bell was cofounder and member of the Rural Health Clinic Association of Washington, former member and treasurer of the Washington Rural Health Association, member and former board member of the Washington Academy of Family Physicians Foundation, served as an advisory board member of the National Rural Health Association, and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from North Carolina State University.
