MILWAUKEE – October 21, 2013 – The law firm of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. (WHD) has

announced the election of Joseph Pickart and the re-election of Jerard Jensen to its Board of

Directors. Jensen has served on the board since 2001. Fellow board members include Bruce Arnold,

Andrew Jones, Patrick Howell, Sverre Roang and Kim Wynn.

Pickart, a shareholder in the Milwaukee office, leads the State & Local Taxation Team. He practices

in taxation, with specific expertise in state and local contested matters, litigation and planning. Pickart

publishes and speaks regularly on all state and local tax topics including sales and use taxes, franchise

and income taxes and property taxes. He is very active in the community, most notably with the Juvenile

Diabetes Research Foundation of Southeast Wisconsin. Pickart has been selected for inclusion in

The Best Lawyers in America® 2014 in Litigation and Controversy – Tax. He received his B.A. from

Marquette University and his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law.

Jensen is the Managing Shareholder of the Madison office. He has actively practiced finance law, health

law and corporate law for more than 25 years. Jensen’s broad finance law practice straddles public and

private transactions. His health law and corporate practice addresses governance, strategic, operational,

transactional and financial matters for for-profit and not for profit institutions in addition to corporate

compliance and white collar defense. Jensen received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of

Wisconsin Law School, where he served as Research and Writing Editor for the Wisconsin Law Review.
