Walker keeps Hall as WEDC chief

Gov. Scott Walker announced this morning that he will keep interim CEO Reed Hall as the head of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp.

Hall, a former Marshfield Clinic executive, was named interim CEO in October, taking over after Paul Jadin left the post for a regional economic development post in Madison.

“Reed’s experience at the Marshfield Clinic, in numerous civic organizations, and involvement in creating private sector jobs in Wisconsin makes him a perfect fit for this position,” Walker said in a statement. “He will be guided by years of experience and a record of effective management in the private sector.”

Hall was formally announced as the new CEO during a 10 a.m. appearance in Milwaukee.

WEDC had announced three finalists to come out of its CEO search committee in late December. Those candidates were Ralph Howard, former VP of specialty brands for W.W. Grainger, Jason Jensen, formerly of Parts Now!, and Michael Jenkins, managing director of Denali Ventures.
