UW-Extension staff and other sponsors encourage self-nominations and nominations of clients and vendors

Earn the respect and recognition of Dane County businesses by nominating a client’s firm, a vendor or your own firm for a Dane County Small Business Award by March 31, 2013. Sponsors strive to recognize a mix of excellent small businesses that represent communities from throughout Dane County and include minority-owned firms, women-owned firms, technology companies, emerging businesses and firms that have been in business for at least three years.

Sponsors include the Small Business Development Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, part of UW-Extension’s Wisconsin Small Business Development Center Network, and Chase, Madison Gas & Electric Co., InBusiness Magazine, Mid-West Family Broadcasting, Wisconsin Business Development Finance Corp. and State of Wisconsin Supplier Diversity Council.

The awards celebrate small companies and their owners for the risks they take and the contributions they make to our communities. Up to 10 companies will receive an award at the 31st annual event, which will be held on June 14, 2013, at the Sheraton Madison Hotel.

For criteria and the online nomination form are posted at: http://sbdc.wisc.edu/DCSBA/aboutdcsba.html
