Growth Energy CEO to address students, faculty and the public on the future of American biofuels

Madison, WI — Growth Energy CEO Tom Buis will be the Distinguished Industry Speaker at the University of Wisconsin- Madison’s Bioenergy Showcase 2013 on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 3 p.m. CT at the campus’s Marquee Theater, Union South.

“The work of the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center and UW-Madison is absolutely critical for the continued success and development of renewable fuels. As America continues to strive for energy independence, our industry relies on the cutting edge research and innovation of the students, faculty and staff. The Bioenergy Showcase highlights promising research approaches and emerging technologies from the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During his speech, Buis will discuss the Future of Renewable Fuels in front of students, faculty and the general public—touching on what lies ahead from a business, policy and technological perspective, as well as discussing the importance of advanced biofuels and ways to ensure that they have a market.
